INFO & APPLICATION SCHOLARSHIPS 2018 RECIPIENTS
The Southern Texas PGA Foundation Scholarship Program has been providing higher education scholarships since 1999 to golfers and non-golfers alike, and in that time, has awarded more than 339 scholarships and $974,100.
Eligibility & Evaluation Criteria
To be eligible for a Southern Texas PGA Foundation Scholarship, all applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must currently reside within the geographic boundaries of the Southern Texas PGA Section
- Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance to meet educational expenses
- Applicants must have completed (or plan to complete) high school prior to September 1 of the current calendar year and have enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited college or university in the fall of the current calendar year.
- Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
- High School Seniors are required to take the ACT or SAT.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and financial need, not on golf accomplishments or ability. Recipients are selected to receive scholarships solely based on the items submitted with this application.
